Founded in 2018, Rucker Park Capital is an early stage venture firm. Prior to Rucker Park, co-founders Marissa Campise (Greycroft, Venrock, SB Capital) and Wes Tang-Wymer (Point72, SoftBank) had the opportunity to invest in and partner with startups across their lifecycle from the first check to post-IPO, including companies like 99 (acq. by DiDi), Dataminr, Grab, Lemonade, SoFi, YourMechanic, Uber, and more. We seek to employ our learnings and relationships across stages and markets to back the next generation of early stage founders. Our firm gets awesome leverage through our LPs, which includes many founders/CXOs that have scaled technology startups to multi-billion dollar market caps or exits (AppNexus, Ripple, Twitter, Zillow, etc.).
THE ROLE

We are looking to bring on talented "investorpreneurs" as venture analysts/associates.
Candidates will get exposure to all aspects of day-to-day activities of our firm, including:
● Performing market research and investment due diligence
● Tracking and collaborating with portfolio companies
● Supporting in fund reporting and investor relations initiatives
● Other activities related to fund operations and strategic projects
Through the role, our hope is you will acquire a multidisciplinary perspective on technology investing that reflects the combination of our team's experiences. This is a core underpinning of how Rucker Park operates differently, and something we believe has value across the various professions in the technology space (operating or investing).

In a business where performance outliers come from being both right and non-consensus, we are looking for talented people that are hard to put in a simple box. We hope some combination of the following traits describes you:
● Spends hours going down rabbit holes because you are deeply curious, but still consistently meets timelines and goals
● Defaults to data-driven decision making, but also embraces the importance of culture, design, and product instincts
● Feels confident in your convictions regardless of where convention lies, but remains open minded to new facts or ideas that could prove you wrong
● Loves being an early adopter of products, ideas, and movements, but doesn’t dismiss the value (and difficulty) of things that have become mainstream
● Balances attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be ambitious, and this should be a strength

You could be a founder/operator, data scientist, engineer, finance/consulting professional, investigative journalist, or some other vocation.
