Diversity
The Diversity Committee is the newest committee of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business (HUWIB). It exists for one purpose: to ensure solidarity and inclusion among members of HUWIB and beyond. Our mission is to find various avenues in which we can support the differences as well as highlight the similarities that exist within our organization. Where the Diversity Committee cannot find these avenues, we create them. As Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business was created to help business-focused collegiate women break into the business world, the Diversity Committee was created to ensure those from communities that aren’t often well-represented in HUWIB feel welcome, seen, and heard in our organization.
We begin by hosting programming to spark collaborative dialogue among HUWIB members and we continue these critical conversations through our annual Social Impact Conference, where we highlight key issues of social impact, social innovation, and questions of diversity within the business world.
